The sun is finally trying to poke through…but it’s been another pretty dismal day. It hasn’t exactly been raining, so I guess I could’ve been outside working, but who wants to? So cleaned the house, organized the tools in the basement, went for a walk, took a nap, read Harry Potter.
Last night was fun… sort of. I guess video games and beer get old after a little while. I like them all but I guess I’ll probably never be best friends with any of them. I like Z. He’s nice. I think he’s going to come to my recital. I warned him that it was going to be an hour and half of little kids banging on the piano. He said something like… hey, that’s what you do for your friends. We should do more things with him. In a group he clams up but I think in a smaller group maybe he’d be more forthcoming.
What else? Did I already talk about how much I liked “Little Children”? Loved it… tonight is Pirates of the Caribbean. Not looking forward to work tomorrow, but next weekend is a 3 day weekend. Haven’t written at all… drinking too much… body is still mushy. Feel like summer is never going to come.
Oh! Finally made headway on vacation plans. Had a fight with J this morning about it. He said I was exerting my will over him, so I said we should go where he wants to go but now he insists on doing what I want. Passive aggresive! So I made him flip a coin to decide…Seattle or SF. I think Seattle won, but he insists it was SF. I could do either. But I did sort of have my heart on going to Big Sur and seeing the giant redwoods. And the wine country wouldnt’ be bad either. : ) J’s never been to the city either so a day or so there too. His cousin lives there too. I think it will be fun. The best part is that flights are $250 from pwm! That’s cheaper than I can get to dc. Thinking of the end of the Sept.
